The 51 Best* Magazines Ever by Good magazine

“Newspapers tell you about the world; magazines tell you about their world.”

This great quote is from a great article on good magazine. It is about the *Smartest, Prettiest, Coolest, Funniest, Most Influential, Most Necessary, Most Important, Most Essential, etc. magazines. Other than the article, the list is quite good for print designers to check out all of the magazines that has been published through the history.

One thing that surprises me, is the position of “national geographic”(11st), at least because of its history it deserves a better place, though.

Via type for you.

Very low quality jpgs by fake is the new real

The image above is a piece from project called “very low quality jpgs” by fake is the new real.

Other than this one, there is a bunch of clever ideas for small projects realized by them(?) such as “symbolic alphabet” and “subways at scale” etc. I am not sure whether they are a group or a single person, however, I really loved the ideas and application of them on the web. Please share with us if you know something more on them.
