New Site of AEC

Ars Electronica’s outstanding international reputation assures it a place in the limelight during Linz’s term as European Capital of Culture in 2009. The city is now creating an appropriate architectural setting for this starring role by expanding the Ars Electronica Center. The planning is the work of Treusch architecture, Vienna.

re:fresh OFFF07 by Mahir M. Yavuz

And the thing is that we get very bored. Really bored. What happened to fun, to subversion, and to the idea of creating just for the sake of it? Does it ring the bell? Is this really the future? Turn off your computer. Close your eyes. Breath deeply and answer this question:
Would you like to restart the system?

So this is quotation from concept text of this year’s OFFF festival in Barcelona. Since 2001, OFFF is taking its place in art & design scene by aiming to bring people together who are related to software aesthetics, new languages for interactive & visual expression and so on.

The festival hosted quite important names during the last 6 years such as Amit Pitaru, Neville Brody, Hi-Res! and lots of others. I have already bought my tickets, arranged everything, I even submit some designs for this year’s catalogue.(You see one of them above). We are still waiting for the announcement of the full program by re:freshing their home page!

New website of trollback

Today, I received a message from my friend who works for Trollbäck company. He told me that they changed their website. Trollbäck is a NYC based motion graphics company which has a bunch of coll and elegant works. And the new website is just working, the simplicity, the clever interaction and easy to use navigation are the things that we are looking forward to see on the web. I also liked the implementation of tag system into a portfolio site, our minds are changing nowdays, we started to beleive that tags are much more better than categories. Greetings to Trollbäck!
